Beware of Fake DBP Social Media Accounts
Notice is hereby given that the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has not yet created an account or page in any social media site such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, Friendster, and others. As such, DBP has not authorized the use of any social media account or page on its behalf.
Any existing DBP account or page in Facebook or other social media sites, including those bearing DBP’s corporate logo and name, are unauthorized and may be the subject of criminal prosecution.
For official queries and clarification, the public may log on to the official DBP website (www.devbnkphl.com) or call telephone number 815-0904.

DBP Cautions on Phishing Emails
There have been reports of phishing incidents affecting some banks in the country lately. Some individuals, bank clients and non-clients alike, have reportedly received email messages requiring them to provide confidential information such as User IDs, Password, Card numbers and other data required for transacting business with their bank.
Phishing scams are perpetrated by syndicates usually through email messages that require the recipients to provide confidential account information via a fake website which mimics a genuine or legitimate website.
Recipients of these phishing emails supposedly from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) are cautioned against divulging any confidential information relating to their accounts for purposes of updating their records. DBP strongly advises everyone to refrain from revealing User IDs, Passwords and Log-in / Transaction IDs, and to follow the guidelines below:
- Ignore these emails or messages. These are phishing emails. DBP does not request for account information through email or any similar media. Open emails only from trusted sources. Do not open unsolicited emails. If you doubt the origin of the email or if the content of the email is unusual, simply ignore it.
- Do not click on any links indicated in the email message. Never click on any link sent via email or other electronic format if it asks for any personal and/or confidential information. DBP does not request for such information via external/embedded links outside of the Official DBP Website.
- Access only the DBP Website for online transactions. Should you need to transact online with DBP, log-on directly to the DBP Website http://www.devbnkphl.com and then click on the links within the website only.
- Log-off after you have completed your online transaction. Preferably, switch-off your computer after completing your transaction. Never leave your computer switched-on.

DBP enjoins everyone to be cautious and to protect themselves against phishing scams. Considering all the precautions above, DBP will not take responsibility for losses that may result from access to unauthorized, fraudulent or unsecured websites.
Please report immediately any suspicious emails to the DBP Electronic Banking Department at email@example.com.
There have been reports of DBP EC Banking accountholders receiving emails about “Urgent Account Activation” procedures that “is mandatory to avoid total deactivation” of account. These are phishing e-mails.
The Development Bank of the Philippines does not send out, issue or distribute account or cardholder updates through electronic mail. The Bank also does not solicit account information via external/embedded links outside of the Official Website, https://www.devbnkphl.com.
Should you receive this e-mail, please do not respond to it and disregard all instructions stated. Advisories regarding the DBP EC Banking facility will be found only at the Official Website.
